The packing machine has a feeder conveyor (1) which supplies containers (2) which are to be crated. The containers are stopped by the end stops (3,4) before being located by the side cylinder (9). The roll (14) is mounted on the axle (15) and is fed to the machine through the gate (16). The gate is closed by the cylinder (17) which folds the roll of cardboard or paper around half the container. The row is completed from each end before the double row is crated by means of the hydraulic cylinder (27).
