PURPOSE:To provide the subject polyester fiber free of deterioration of the fiber at the time of vulcanization of rubber and excellent in heat resistance, which is obtained by donating a polymer consisting of (meta)acrylic acid to a polyester fiber. CONSTITUTION:To a polyester (preferably polyethylene terephthalate) fiber a polymer consisting of (meta)acrylic acid (preferably containing 90mol% or more of acrylic acid) is donated in a step prior to embedding in rubber (preferably, in a step of twisting) in preferably 2-30wt%. Moreover, the donation of the polymer is performed by preparing the polymer into an aqueous 25% solution, and by impregnating the polyester fiber in this solution. |
