PURPOSE:To exhaust air through a duct and minimize the soiling of a corona discharging wire by sealing the silicone oil steam arising from a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with partitions 20 and 21 which shut out the inflow and outflow of gas between an image forming part, including an electrifying part around a photosensitive drum 1, and the fixing part 13. As an exhaust means to forcefully exhaust outside the device steam elements arising in the fixing part, especially the silicone oil steam, the duct 24 is provided, and this duct 24 has an opening 25, forming a passage to exhaust the gas remaining between the partition and an upper board. The duct 24 is connected to an exhaust fan 27. Furthermore, a detecting means is provided to detect the heat condition of the fixing part, and the exhaust fan 27 is operated according to the detected heat condition. Thus, by preventing the silicone oil steam from reaching the discharging device, the discharging wire soiling can be prevented. |
