摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for removal of the roll's eccentricity, and to contrive the improvement of the product quality, by obtaining the control output for this time and for a specified later time respectively from the stored roll eccentricity, by perdicting and adjusting the control outputs for above two points of time, and by producing the control signal. CONSTITUTION:In case of sampling and controlling the roll's eccentricity at the point of time ti in the range I where the roll's eccentricity is simple harmonically increasing, the roll's eccentricity P1i corresponding to the backup roll contacting with the work roll is taken out, and at the same time, the roll's eccentricity P2i corresponding to the backup roll contacting with the work roll A at the next sampling time is also taken out. Then, these values P1i, P2i are used to obtain respective control variables V1i, V2i, for the roll gaps. Besides, the oscillating number restricting unit 8 operates the difference V2i-V1i between control variables for the roll gaps; if the result is positive, the addition command UP is produced, and if the result is negative, the subtraction command DP is produced. That is, the command UP is ?produced in the range I, and the variation of the smaller control variable V3i of the control variables for the roll gap is input to the adder 12 and is added; and the addition result as the output Vi is input to the roll gap controller 7 to adjust the roll gap so as to remove the roll's eccentricity.</p>
