PURPOSE:To automatically generate NC data for character marking only by inputting characters by an operator on a keyboard by extracting skeleton lines from bit map digital data on the font of an inputted character and converting them into vector data. CONSTITUTION:A character string operation part 5 inputs a character string from the keyboard 15, etc., and stores it in a data base part 21 through a data base access part 7. An NC data generation part 13 reads data on the character string, registered in the data base part 21, by a data base access part 7 and a character data processing part 9 separates the character string data into characters and receives dot string data corresponding to the characters from the vector font file of a font file 23. In another way, the bit map data in the bit map data file are converted into dot string data according to specific algorithm to obtain the dot string data, thus generating the NC data for character marking. |
