PURPOSE:To joint a cap shell with a lining blank material rigidly by heating a cap shell at a place between a cap shell feeding position and a lining blank material distributing position as well as at a place between the distribution position and a cap shell transferring position. CONSTITUTION:Inverted metal cap shells 18 are fed from a cap shell feeding mechanism 4 to notch portions 10 of a rotary disc 12 rotating in the direction of arrow 14. With the side faces of the cap shells restrained by an arch-shaped guide wall 20 and with the upper faces of the cap shells restrained by a guide plate 42, the cap shells are carried while being heated by the HF current flowing in a heater coil 32 arranged in the grooves on the upper face of a support plate 36 fixed to the lower surface of the wall 20. After feeding the shells 18 with a lining blank material distributed by a rotary cutting blade 26 of a blank-material distributing mechanism 6 at a lining blank material distributing position B, the shells 18 are conveyed to a cap shell transferring position C while being induction-heated by the coil 32, and then transferred into an embossing machine 8 driven to rotate in the direction of arrow 28.
