PURPOSE:To provide a metal mold which can eleminate waste of resin and can produce molded articles having no pouring trace, comprising a valve mechanism arranged in a resin channel so as to open and close a resin pouring hole in communication with a cavity by utilizing the resin pressure. CONSTITUTION:In a cylinder hole 2 communicated with a resin channel 6 provided in a heating plate, there is provided a lever-shaped valve body 12 capable of sliding and reciprocating. Next to a pressure-receiving portion 12a having a relatively large diameter and constituting the axially rear end portion of the valve body 12, there is provided a push pin 13 capable of sliding and reciprocating in a hole 3a formed in the upper plate, and there is also provided a valve mechanism 11 comprising a spring 15 interposed under pressure between the rear end portion of the pin 13 and a seat 14. A needle-shaped valve portion 12b is provided next to and integrally with the pressure-receiving portion 12a, and the tip end portion P1 is pressed against or separated from a resin pouring hole 8 provided in a cavity plate, thereby to control the pouring of the resin into a cavity 1a from the pouring hole 8. |
