The combustion engine valve timing control has two levers pivoted between the cam and the valve control rocker arm in such manner that by raising one of the levers via its pivot point, the cam turns a smaller curve before it actuates the rocker arm. The levers are adjusted to suit the valve timing alterations by vertical adjusters. The advantages are improved exhaust emission control, increased engine output, as well as the ability to reach working temperature more quickly. Preferably the direct contact between the control levers with the rocker arm on the pressure piston is safeguarded by appropriate springs.
|
