The invention relates to an arrangement for controlling changeover of a carburettor related to internal combustion engines in vehicles adapted for driving by liquid or gaseous fuel. In known arrangements with a manually manoeuvrable switch, it is difficult to change over from gas operation to petrol operation. The switch must thus be kept in an intermediate position for a certain period of time, corresponding to the time needed for filling the float chamber in the carburettor with petrol. Only following this, may the switch be put to the petrol-operation position. The object of the arrangement according to the invention is to simplify such changeovers, whereby an electrical system forms part of the arrangement, comprising a delay unit which at operation of the switch from a position corresponding to operation with gaseous fuel to a position corresponding to operation with liquid fuel, delays the closing of a first solenoid valve such that supply of gaseous fuel to the intake system of the engine continues at least until the opening of a second solenoid valve initiates supply of liquid fuel to the intake system of the engine. <IMAGE> |
