<p>The semi-rigid support plate (1) is for paper and other supple and/or fragile sheets. It consists of a rectangular base plate (10) which is reinforced on two opposite sides (101,102) and in the central part (18) parallel to the sides. The reinforcing bands (11,12,15,16) are made in a rigid and dense material, preferably metal. Semi-rigid stiffening rods (31,32), made of plastics material, are fitted to the other sides (103,104) of the plate. They are U-shaped in section and fit over the edges of the plate. The lower part of the rod has notches perpendicular to the side of the plate.</p> |
