The machine comprises a carriage which reciprocates on slides. The operator loads a shoe onto a mount on this carriage and initiates the cycle. The carriage moves along, in front of a spray gun which applies paint to one side of the shoe sole. The carriage then stops opposite another spray gun, positioned at the end of the machine, and this gun sprays paint onto the front and the heel of the sole as the mount rotates. The carriage then returns to its start point, the first spray gun painting the remaining side of the sole.
