Tractor partic. for agricultural use has a front (15) and a rear chassis (1), each having a wheel acle (29, 5) carrying a number of raod wheels.The rear chassis (1) carries a rear engine (13) which is positioned between rear and front wheel axles. The front chassis (15) carries a front engine (31), which is positioned wholly or partly in front of the front wheels. The two chassis are pivotable relative to one another about a pivot (14) which is part of the tractor's steering mechanism. The pivot arranged below the rear engine, may be a vertical shaft. It may be arranged in an horizontal triangular frame (7) which may carry the rear engine (13)
