PURPOSE:To ensure a high-density recording for the system in which the signals are recorded on several recording tracks parallel to each other, by securing the different head angles with every track and then carrying out the vertical recording so that the partial overlap may be secured among the recording tracks each other. CONSTITUTION:Vertical magnetization recording head 23 consists of, for example, main electrode 24 provided in touch to magnetic tape 21 and auxiliary electrode 25 provided at the opposite side to hold tape 21 between. The recording current is supplied to coil 26 wound around electrode 25, and thus tape 21 is magnetized in the vertical direction. Head 23 is provided with inclination of a fixed angle secured to the width direction of tape 21. The recording is carried out to the 2nd track 27 adjacent to the 1st track 22 via magnetic head 23' provided at a different angle from head 23 and so as to secure a partial overlap to the 1st track and so that a partial overlap may be secured between both the patterns. After this, the recording is carried out in sequence for the tracks subsequent to the 2nd one. In this way, the high-density recording is ensured. |
