The circuit has a sensor near the vehicle's accelerator pedal and indicating when the pedal is depressed. Break contacts measure the speed of the crankshaft. The signal from these contacts is converted by a level converter and passed to an anti-chatter circuit comprising an AND-gate, two monoflops and an OR-gate. The output of the antichatter circuit is frequency divided and applied to two monoflops. An AND-gate combines the output of one or these monoflops with the output of the accelerator-pedal sensor.
