PURPOSE:To enable the use of a one-two-phase energization type in a two-phase energization manner, by providing a two-phase energization changeover gate circuit in a one-two-phase energization type pulse motor drive circuit to apply a two-phase energization changeover signal. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit is operated by six kinds of signals produced from the output signals of signal generation circuits made of three-stage JK flip-flops F1- F3 and produces four kinds of energization currents corresponding to stator coils I-IV. A signal PC to a terminal 7 is a drive instruction signal. When the signal PC is ''0'', transistors T1-T4 are off. When the signal is ''1'', the transistors are in a driving state. When a two-phase energization changeover signal PM to a terminal 8 is made into ''0'', the control circuit acts in a two-phase energization manner so that the wave forms of the energization currents II-IIV are inverted at every incoming of two timing pulses TP. When the signal PM is made into ''1'', the control circuit acts in a one-two-phase energization manner so that the energization currents have wave forms II'-IIV'. |
