At least one magnet is employed to fix the anode in a desired location; and the magnet is pref. attached to the anode by a spring- or swivel-mounting. An electric lead is pref. attached to the anode and can be connected to part of a vessel, esp. the inside of a vessel, which is being protected against corrosion by the anode. The magnet may alternatively be attached to the anode via an adhesive; and a cup may be used to form a return circuit for the magnetic flux. A signal is pref. generated when the anode is exhausted. A simple and inexpensive method for locating anodes in or on vessels. |
