The unit (1) has a number of heating devices within a number of protective housing coupled to an operating control (3) incorporating an ON-OFF switch and a temp. regulator. The operating control (3) is connected to the unit (1) via a flexible cable (4) and it can be selectively mounted on an adjacent wall or attached to a part of the casing. The operating control pref. comprises an ON-OFF switch, a thermostat, a timer and control lamps indicating the operating state. It can be hooked to the front or side of the housing near the top, to allow it to be readily visible to the sauna user.
