The heat recuperation system for a central heating installation includes a rotary heat exchanger in an closed cycle connected with the heating units. The closed cycle includes a heat exchanger for an incoming air supply and another heat exchanger for discharged air. Between them is a tank and expansion vessel for liquid connected by a control valve to the air supply heat exchanger. The rotary heat exchanger contains a rotor with five radial blades which circulate a cold heat exchange liquid around the interior, in contact with the hot water jacket through which the supply passes. The rise in temp. causes an increase in pressure and vaporisation of the heat exchanger liquid which is circulated in the closed cycle and expanded through the valve at the air supply heat exchanger.
