PURPOSE:To ensure an easy and assured detection of the bite abrasion in the case of the heavy cutting, by extracting the low frequency component under bite-to-work resonance frequency and then detecting the amplitude value. CONSTITUTION:Only the low frequency component is extracted via filter 2 out of acceleration vibration measuring output 1 of the tool post and then supplied to A/D converter 6 to undergo the digital conversion by the clock of oscillator 4. Then the addition is given with adder 9 between the absolute value output of exclusive logic sum gate 8 and the output of memory circuit 10 to be stored in circuit 10 for a fixed time and in the form of the integrated value. After this, the mean value of the cumulative addition value in circuit 10 is stored in memory circuit 17 for a fixed time. The memory value of circuit 17 is converted into the analog value through the D/A converter and then compared with set voltage signal 20 of potentiometer 21 through comparator 22. And in case analog signal 19 has a higher level, fault display signal 23 is delivered from comparator 22. In this way, the abrasion or breakage is detected for the bite. |
