PURPOSE:To improve the functions of service processor SVP by providing a high- speed input-output unit channel and interface change-over switch in SVP and by making a maintenance check by changing high-speed input-output units over. CONSTITUTION:Service processor SVP6 includes high-speed input-output unit channel part 16, interface change-over part 17, low-speed input-output unit control part 18, and CPU interface part 17. In normal operation, change-over part 17 is placed as shown by the continuos line and the selector channel of CPU is connected to magnetic tape controller 7. In fault occurrence or routine inspection, change-over part 17 is shifted as shown by the dotted line under the command of SVP and channel part 16 is connected to part 17, so that a high-speed input-output unit of large capacity can be connected to SVA. Consequently, the functions of SVP are remarkably improved by storing a micro diagnostic dictionary on a magnetic tape, etc. |
