TREATING METHOD OF HOT WATER FOR HEATING SYSTEM AND HOT WATER SERVICE

PURPOSE:To adsorb copper ion within high temp. water without deteriorating a resin by treating a copper ion containing hot water from a heating installation by a chelate type ion exchange resin having an alkali earth metal in a chelate terminal thereof. CONSTITUTION:The hot water containing copper ion eluted from an arranged pipe made from copper or a copper alloy in a heating and a hot water service installation is passed through a chelate type ion exchange resin having an alkali earth metal in a chelate terminal thereof and a chelate group such as amino carboxylic acids or the like which is a reaction product of amines such as diethylamine or the like and an acetic halide to be treated. This resin is not deteriorated due to thermal decomposition even if exposed to high temp. water and certainly adsorbs copper ion and the treated water can be used as drinking water.
