PURPOSE:To cause a limiter characteristic to approach the ideal to improve the distortion rate, by detecting the conduction state of a switching element to promote conduction of the switching element. CONSTITUTION:When input signal level Vin exceeds VC=VR+VBE, transistor Q1 becomes conductive, and the conduction current is flowed to diode D5 of current Miller circuit 3, and an output current corresponding to the current Miller ratio determined by resistance R5 is flowed to the collector of transistor Q3, and thus, conduction of transistor Q1 is promoted furthermore. Conduction of transistor Q1 is instantaneous by the thyristor effect dependent upon transistors Q1 and Q2, and the collector output which is the limiter output is clamped instantaneously. |
