<p>PURPOSE:To conveniently improve the paper sheet feeding function of a sheet feeder and eliminate the erroneous operation thereof and double feeding of the sheets in an electronic copying machine or the like by laying an underlay having suitable weight corresponding to the copy sheet between the copy sheet and the bottom plate when feeding the sheet having various thickness and specific weight. CONSTITUTION:An article having smaller weight per thickness thereof than a specified sheet such as, for example, an underlay 6 made of foamed styrol or the like is laid between a copy sheet 4' such as, for example, the second original having larger weight per thickness thereof than the specified sheet and the bottom plate 1. This means that a curve A0-E is a gradient of the weight per thickness of the underlay. By utilizing the underlay 6 it is improved to a curve A0-E-C from a curve A0-C0 if the underlay 6 is not used. That is, the contact pressure between the feed sheet roll and the sheet can be set within allowable suitable range. According to this configuration, the sheet feeding performance can be simply improved to eliminate the missing of the fed sheet and the feeding of double sheets.</p> |
