The ladle (19) is rotated from a horizontal rest position to an inclined pouring position under the control of a speed regulator. The movement of the ladle occurs in three different steps, each involving a different rotation speed. In a first step tilting of the ladle at a first speed allows the molten metal to move close to a delivery spout of the ladle, in a second step tilting at a second, lower, speed causes the slow pouring of most of the molten metal, and in a third step tilting entailing a progressive acceleration to a third rotation speed, higher than the first, causes the pouring of the residual amount of the molten metal. The ladle is thus rotated substantially in the same way as it would have to be rotated manually for a correct pouring of the molten metal.

|
