PURPOSE:To obtain a highly heat-sensitive multicolor recording material capable of formings clear image free of mixing of colors by forming a high-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer as the uppermost layer, in a multicolor heat-sensitive recording material comprising a low-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer and a high-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:A decoloring layer containing a decoloring agent such as cetyl alcohol or guanidine derivative having a decoloring effect to a color forming agent which forms color at relatively low temperatures, is formed on a substrate. A low- temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer containing a coloring component which forms a color at relatively low temperatures is formed on the decoloring layer. A high-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer containing a coloring component which forms a color at relatively high temperatures is formed on the low-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer. The coloring component consists of a color former and a developer, the color former consisting of a colorless or light-colored leuco dye and the developer consisting of a phenolic substance or an acid substance. In forming each of the layers, the said component is added adequately with a binder, an inorganic filler for improving the matching for the head, and the like. |
