<p>Tanning dyestuffs of the azo series obtained by coupling aromatic compounds which contain at least one diazo group with water-soluble tanning agents prepared by condensation of a) formaldehyde or formaldehyde-donating compounds b) an optionally sulphonated aryl ether or optionally sulphonated naphthalene or optionally sulphonated terphenyl or an optionally sulphonated phenol-urea mixture or mixtures thereof or with a dihydroxydiaryl sulphone and c) a sulphonating agent if the compounds mentioned under b) are sulpho-devoid, and if desired a subsequent reaction with heavy metal salts, are suitable for simultaneous tanning and dyeing.</p> |
