<p>In a method and apparatus for applying self adhesive labels the apparatus comprises a frame (1) with retainers (3, 5) for a plurality of objects (4) which are to be labelled A bar (9) is arranged (8) for lateral displacement relative to its length over the surfaces which are to be labelled. Flaps (17) of the labels (15) are adhered in a row over the surfaces which are to be labelled, the bar (9) being taken over the adhering portions (17), the labels (15) subsequently being bent or folded over the bar edge (10) to an acute angle with the already adhered portions of the labels. The bar (9) is subsequently displaced, contingent on which there is continuous bending of the labels, and thus separation of the carrier sheet (16) from the labels (15).</p> |
