<p>In proportional weighing of loose materials, the material flow is to be reduced when the actual weight approaches the rated value. The fine final flow is to be reduced to 4 to 10% of the coarse flow. For this purpose the proportioner is fitted with a reciprocating closure cone and a conical wall, extending obliquely in the direction of an aperture to be closed by the cone. The proportioner is resiliently mounted and has at least one vibrator. The conical wall is air permeable, the air stream flowing in the direction of the closure cone. Preferably an air chamber is located underneath the conical wall. The upper proportioner edge may carry an annular bead, engaged by a sealing wedge of a flexible support sleeve and by an outer clamp. The proportioner is suitable for any loose material and safeguards reproducible, uniform setting of a fine flow.</p> |
