PURPOSE:To obtain a print having excellent color reproducibility by using a band-stop filter having a specific characteristic and incorporating a specific compd. into the photosensitive layer or intermediate layer of a photosensitive material for color prints. CONSTITUTION:The band-stop filter having the characteristic A is used between a light source used for a printing stage and the photosensitive layer of the photosensitive material for color prints. Further, the compd. expressed by formula I is incorporated into the photosensitive layers of the photosensitive material for color prints or the intermediate layer positioned between both the photosensitive layers. The characteristic A is defined as the characteristic having the half-amplitude level of the spectral transmission curve of the band-stop filter in a wavelength region excluding the range of the max. spectral sensitivity wavelength (lambda<max>)+ or -20nm of the photosensitive layers. In formula I, Cp denotes a coupler residue which forms a substantially colorless compd. by coupling with the oxidant of a color developing agent, etc.; X denotes a group which can react with the oxidant of the color developing agent in the coupling position of the coupler, etc. The image quality, above all, color reproducibility of the small color image are thereby improved. |
