PURPOSE:To simplify operations of lines, by suspending the transmission unit, which received a transmission suspension signal, under the line closed state until the transmission suspension signal is broken. CONSTITUTION:A transmission suspension signal is issued from a receiving unit for exchange of the recording paper and so on. The transmission unit monitors always signals input from line 9 and detects and decides the transmission suspension signal through LPF15 by transmission control circuit 16. Circuit 16 performs suspending operations such as holding of line closure according to this decision result and starts again the normal communication operation after the transmission suspension signal is broken. Since the line is suspended at a partition time in the course of communication, procedures for re-connection cependent upon dial are needless. |
