<p>1. A windscreen wiper, particulary for motor vehicles, including a driving head (1) on which is pivoted a wiper blade-carrying arm (4), a helicoidal spring (7) which produces the force necessary to apply the wiper blade against a windscreen of panoramic form, a drive shaft (10) having a threaded end (27) rotating in the barrel (11) of a support plate fixed on the vehicle body and on which shaft is fixed a driver (24) of the head (1) by the intermediary of a locking nut (26), which head (1) bears and pivots on a fixed sleeve 15 through which the drive shaft (10) passes and includes an end cam (17) such as to change, during the course of wiping, the angle of inclination of the arm with respect ot the shaft in order ot ensure automatically a perpendicularity of the wiper blade (5) at any point of the windscreen whatever may be the wiping angle of the arm charaterized in that the bearing surface of the driving head (1) on the end cam (17) of the fixed sleeve (15) is constituted by a complementary cam (20), cams (17) and (20) formed by two walls oblique to the axis of the drive shaft (10) of which the orientation and inclination alpha that such that they produce respectively a relatively constant perpendicularity and presssure of the blade (5) at any point on the windscreen.</p> |
