PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the power generation output of a fuel cell, and make a fuel cell system compact, regarding a method to prepare hydrogen contained gases via the reaction of a raw fuel and water through a reformer for the feed thereof to the fuel electrode of a solid polymeric fuel cell. SOLUTION: Water exceeding a mole ratio capable of reacting with a raw fuel is supplied to a reformer, and hydrogen contained gases prepared with the reformer 1 are made to contain unreacted water within a range between 30wt.% and 46wt.%. Furthermore, the hydrogen contained gases are supplied to the fuel electrode 5 of a solid polymeric fuel cell 2. As a result, the unreacted water adds moisture to a solid polymeric film 3 neither too much nor too less. Thus, the hydrogen contained gases generated with the reformer 1 do not need to be humidified, thereby eliminating a humidifying process. |
