PURPOSE:To simplify inspection and maintenance for the said instrument board by a method wherein connectors at the ends of lead wires from the electric source are fixed to the instrument board attaching members and openings are prepared at connecting positions for the said connectors under the instrument board and connectors at the ends of lead wires to the instruments. CONSTITUTION:To the instrument board attaching member 6 that fixes both its ends to side walls 2 of a vehicle body are fixed a harness clip 9 and a connector retainer 14 along the longitudinal direction of the board under the instrument board 1 that meters 3 and switches 4, etc. are built in. A lead wire 11 connected with engine harnesses etc. is fixed by this clip 9 and the connector 10 at the end of the lead wire 11 is fixed to the member 6 through a connector retainer 14. Further, a connector 8 at the end of a lead wire 7 connected with such instruments as the meter 3 etc. is located at a working opening 16 installed at the bottom of the instrument board 1 so as to connect connectors 8 and 10 through the opening part 16. This opening part can be closed with a cover 13.
