Earthing of neutral in underground low tension cable junction box

The earthing system operates in a junction box (11) with a cover (12) and openings at either end (15,16) to allow passage of the cables. The cables contain conductors for three phases (4,7,8) neutral conductors (6,9,10) connected to suitable coupling devices inside the junction box. The connector (22) for the neutral conductors is linked by a flexible conductor (23) to an earthing block (24) attached to the edge of the body of the junction box. The cover of the junction box carries an earthing screen (13). A conductor (26) in contact with the screen co-operates with the earthing block when the cover is in place.
