PURPOSE:To expel the container out of air completely and to prevent the change in quality of rice cake, by injecting a fluid rice cake into a synthetic resin container with a rice ball shape, followed by molding the rice cake by pressure using a mold having the radius of curvature at the bottom of the rice ball smaller than that of the inner hollow bottom of the container. CONSTITUTION:The container 21 for rice ball is put in the split mold 30a and 30b to which the container 21 is circumscribed, and a fluid rice cake is fed to the container 21. To cover the bottom of the container 21, the synthetic film 23 is put under the container 21 and pressed by the pressing means 35 having the radius of curvature R4 at its bottom smaller than that of R3 of the inner hollow bottom of the comtainer 21 so that the bottom of the container 21 is sealed. Two packed rice cakes different in their sizes are prepared in this method, and superposed to give a double round mirrorw-shaped rice cake. Since the monolithic molding of upper and lower parts does not leave air in its narrow part, the change in quality of rice cake is prevented. |
