PURPOSE:To reduce an electromagnetic wave noise without lowering durability, by making the spark discharge part of the rotor electrode of a distributor from aluminium or alloy thereof and making from a wear-resisting metal another part which comes into contact with a center carbon member connected to the secondary portion of an ignition coil. CONSTITUTION:A distributor is attached to an internal combustion engine (not shown the figures) together with a cam shaft 2 extending into a housing 1. The cam shaft 2 can be rotated in connection with the crankshaft of the engine and is fitted with a rotor 5 comprising a rotor electrode 3 and an insulator 4 whereon the electrode is secured. An electrode tip part 11 having a discharge section is made from aluminium or alloy thereof. An electrode contact part 12, which comes into contact with a center carbon member 9, is made from a wear-resisting metal such as brass or stainless steel. Both electrode parts are calked on each other by a rivet 13. The electrode is then secured on the insulator 4. This results in reducing an electromagnetic wave noise and the wear of the center carbon member 9. |
