PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cold-reserving agent which has a bactericidal function by incorporating a specific component and a water-absorbing polymer or/and an inclusion compd. into the same. SOLUTION: This agent contains a bactericide and a water-absorbing polymer or/and an inclusion compd. At least one bactericide selected from among a Wasabi (Japanese horse radish extract, hinokitiol, and a bamboo extract is used. The water-absorbing polymer incorporated enables the repeated use of this agent at different temps., and a water-absorbing polymer obtd. by subjecting acrylic acid and its aq. alkali metal soln. to reverse-phase suspension polymn. in an aliph. hydrocarbon solvent is pref. since thus obtd. polymer is not sticky. A pref. inclusion compd. is cyclodextrin. |
