<p>The cage comprises an endless belt (5) mounted on rollers and equipped with a vertical post (3) at one end. Sides are fitted and the post holds a leash (2) which is attached to the dog's collar (8). This enables the animal to stand, to sit and to obtain exercise by trotting. Excrement is deposited onto the belt and, as the dog's feet move the belt, this excrement falls off the belt and into a water-filled tray (6) underneath. The belt then passes over a wet sponge (7), permanently in contact with the belt to clean it.</p> |
