Application of concrete lining to e.g. sewer - uses pneumatic lance to jet concrete between bore and demountable mould and compact it

A pneumatic gear projects the concrete into an annular gap between the bore and a demountable mould (3). Dry sand, gravel and cement is fed (18) to a lance (19) to be mixed with water (20) before projection. The pressure of projection effects the compaction of the concrete, and a ventilated shield (13) may be placed over the leading mould aperture during jetting. The mould may be in three demountable longitudinal sections (4A,4B), the trailing section (4A) being demounted and moved forward on a trolley to obtain a construction cycle.
