PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and rapidly perform sorting operation in accordance with the recycling condition of a recording medium without though an operator by allowing a witching means to switch the carrying direction of the already recycled recording medium decided to be recycled again toward a recycling means in the midst of carrying. SOLUTION: When recording paper is fed from a paper feeding part 1B to a recycling part 1C, the density of the recycled surface of the recording paper ejected by a photosensor 3 before the paper is introduced in the part 1C, and the detected data is fetched in a control part. The density of the recycled surface of the recording paper is detected after recycling is detected by a photosensor 4 and the detected data is fetched in the control part. Based on the density data, the control part judges whether or not the recording paper recycled can be reused. In accordance with the judged result, the state setting of a 1st carrying path switching pawl 1E1 and a 2nd carrying path switching pawl 1E2 is performed so as to set the carrying paths toward a stacker for storing recording paper 1D1 and a discarding tank 1D2. |
