Compiling aid for information held on index or punch cards - uses scale method with holding ledges placed parallel to each other and supported by holding projections

The information compiling aid uses punch cards arranged like a series of fish scales with holding ledges located parallel to each other. They have free edges on both their lengths sides and the punch cards have holding projections which are bent outwards from the plane of the cards and which are separated by a slot from the remaining part of the punch card. The bottom points of the holding projections are placed at a distance from the lower edge of the punch card which corresponds to the height of one line of information. A section adjoining the upper edge of the information carrying area of the card is also fitted with two holding projections positioned mirror symmetrical relative to the lower holding projections, with the upper section of the card capable of being folded over backwards along the upper border of the information field.
