<p>A device for moving a tone arm in a record player, which device comprises a bracket (29) mounted on the shaft (3a) of the tone arm (3), a drive motor (10) and its preceding start switch (7), a rotor (13) rotated by the motor (10) and provided with various cams, an arm lifter (5) operated by the rotating angle of the rotor (13) and motor starting circuit opening switch means (18a, 18b, 23a), following start switch means for automatically detecting the end of a record performance to close the motor starting circuit, and actuator means (25, 21, 27) for horizontally turning the bracket by a selected angle. During one revolution of the rotor, automatic lead-in operation and automatic return operation of the tone arm are effected for record disks of various sizes. The device also comprises brake units (22, 27) for stabilizing the above operations of the tone arm. It is also possible for the lead-in operation to be manually conducted. </p> |
