PROCESS DETERMINING DAMPING PROPERTIES OF STRUCTURES

FIELD: nondestructive testing. SUBSTANCE: process is related to investigation of damping properties of members of structures. It consists in double differentiation of dependence of linear deformation of member of structure on time, in determination of function of deformation and acceleration rates on time and in determination of effect of action of weight on time. Coefficients characterizing elastic and absorbing properties of structures to damp shocks are found by dependence of effect of action of weight on deformation and deformation rate. These coefficients are used to evaluate damping properties of structures. EFFECT: enhanced informativity of process thanks to recording of functional dependence of deformation on time.
