Cutting and conveying appts. for green bricks - divides length of clay into short sections which are separated and turned through 90 degrees

The appts. is used by conveying long hole raw or green bricks (7) until taken over by carrying supports. The raw bricks produced forming a batch are cut off from a hank of clay. The batch is cut into raw bricks transverse to its longitudinal direction, with the bricks subsequently conveyed onwards lying closely together transverse to the longitudinal direction of the transverse row produced by the cutting process. The bricks are transferred to carrying supports in such a way that the elongated holes located in the raw bricks extend transverse to the length of the carrying supports. The transfer process includes a number of stages for drawing apart the raw bricks into gaps in longitudinal rows and subsequent turning of the raw bricks by 90 degrees round their vertical axis.
