<p>The press has a tool, with a die or base plate on the press table to carry the workpiece; and a head plate with die, fastened to a press plunger. A pressure pad between the baseplate and head plates moves synchronously with the plunger stroke; it is displaceable relative to the head plate and fastens the work piece during punch movement. A damper unit with a piston cylinder dampens the punch action on the workpiece. The damper is located between head plate and pressure pad. The cylinder is fastened to or set into one of the plates, pref. the head plate. The piston projects towards the other plate, and engages on it when the punch acts onto the workpiece.</p> |
