<p>Electric oven in which the heating is carried out by passing electric current through the load and more particularly a continuous oven wherein the load is a carbonaceous material. The oven is provided with a device allowing a counter current circulation of non-reactive gas and a combustive gas introduction device (24-28) arranged in the upper part of the oven shaft.
