Ice water maker - using freezer modules with centrifugal pump on cover (NL 2.12.80)

Unit is described for producing water of 0 deg. C for external cooling purposes consists of modules which are taken from mass produced deep freezers. Its thermally insulated tank is used as a water tank and is closed by a lid carrying a centrifugal pump to draw in and to circulate the water of 0 deg. C to the external consumer. A pickup detects the formation of ice crusts on the evaporator tubes which cuts out the compressor in the base of the unit when theice has reached a certain thickness. Although such units are only needed in small numbers, they can be produced at an attractive price by using mass produced freezer components.
