<p>The honing stone has a body of ceramic or synthetic resin with embedded abrasive particles, which is enclosed in a supporting trough. A metal rib (4) is incorporated in the (1) so that one of its edges forms part of the honing surface. The surface of the rib can be at right angles to the honing surface, and it can be arranged to divide the body into two equal halves. The rib can be perforated, with a smooth surface, and bent into a zig-zag or corrugated shape.</p> |
