PURPOSE:To manufacture the title sintered body having high density and excellent strength at ordinary temp. and high temp. and having less deformation at the sintering process by subjecting the mixture of MgO, WO3, specific oxide and Si3N4 to molding and sintering. CONSTITUTION:1.5mol.% MgO, 2.5-5.0mol.% WO3, one or more kinds selected from 1.0-6.5mol.% oxide of lanthanide rare earth elements (e.g. La2O3) and Si3N4 powder having >=5mum average grain size and >=50% alpha phase contents are mixed; and the mixture is subjected to pressure molding to obtain a molded body. Said molded body is then sintered at 1600-1900 deg.C in a vacuum or in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. |
