PURPOSE:To increase a light electromotive force by illuminating both sides of a substrate and utilizing all of direct incident light, scattered light, and reflected light. CONSTITUTION:Two p-layers 2 are formed by diffusing B in an n-type Si substrate 1, and a portion of the side and a portion of the back surface of the p-layer 2 are removed. An Al electrode 3 is evaporated on a portion of each surface of the p- layers 2. The electrode on the back surface is formed in a grid shape. An Ni electrode 4 is attached to a portion where the layer 2 on the back surface of the substrate 1 is removed. Lead wires 5 and 6 are attached to the electrodes 3 and 4, and embeded in resin 1. The solar cell both sides of which are illuminated is located at the focus of a reflecting mirror 8, and the solar light is illuminated, thereby the large electromotive force is readily obtained. |
